Abdominal Wall Insert for E.N.D.O. Sphere Trainer

The anterior abdominal wall insert is designed for practicing IPOM repair skills and is installed in the Sphere trainer.

The anterior abdominal wall insert can also be used to practice Veress needle and trocar insertion.

Skills Trained:

• Spatial orientation using the monitor;
• Performing laparoscopic manipulations on the anterior abdominal wall;
• Veress needle insertion and trocar placement;
• Laparoscopic instrument handling technique;
• Working with laparoscopic instruments using both hands;
• Positioning the needle in the needle holder;
• Manipulating the needle in tissue;
• Forming surgical sutures and knots using various techniques;
• Placing intracorporeal sutures;
• Performing laparoscopic surgical interventions on the anterior abdominal wall: IPOM repair.
