Key features

Real time: AR enables the trainee to visualize handpiece positioning in real time, with feedback in 3D rendering similar to digital scanning, deformation of the virtual tooth according to the bur shape in reality, and digital objective evaluation and tutorial feedback by recording the training processes.

Realistic environment: typodont with interchangeable teeth, a real handpiece without any bulky trackers feeling like a regular handpiece, simple and user-friendly calibration, and repeatable, reversible preclinical training of clinical skills.

Training workflow

• Step 1 — Administration: log in and choose a case (60+ cases across 5 dental specialties)
• Step 2 — Briefing: patient complaints, medical history and related images
• Step 3 — History taking: build clinical reasoning by choosing questions from a wide library
• Step 4 — X-Ray: special positioner; unlimited harmless X-Ray images saved to a library
• Step 5 — Anesthesia: train techniques (periodontal, nerve blocks, infiltration) with on-syringe feedback (red/yellow/green)
• Step 6 — Preparation: microsensors tracked in full 6DOF up to 240 Hz for operative and prosthetic cases
