Breast Palpation and Ultrasound Trainer (1 Breast Set of Choice)

Training system for practicing breast palpation and ultrasound examination skills

The trainer is a torso section with areas for mounting interchangeable breast models.

The trainer includes 1 set of breast models of your choice in sizes 2, 3 and 4. In each size, 1 unit contains no neoplasms.

The others contain 1 to 3 neoplasms measuring 14 to 19 mm at different depths below the surface.

The back of each breast model is marked with the size and location of the inclusions, simplifying the work of the instructor or examiner.

The trainer sits on a sturdy base and has two lockable positions: for palpation lying down and for palpation sitting up.

The configuration, sizes and placement of the neoplasms can be changed at the customer's request.

Skills trained:

• Identification of anatomical landmarks;
• Inspection and palpation of the breasts (superficial and deep);
• Palpation is performed by pressing the breast against the ribs with the closed second, third and fourth fingers, moving from top to bottom and/or bottom to top, without lifting the fingers from the skin of the breast during palpation;
• Determining the location of a tumor, its size, borders, and relationship to the surrounding tissues;
• Assessing the location of pathological processes by four quadrants — upper outer, lower outer, lower inner, upper inner — and by clock-face sectors;
• Breast palpation with the patient standing, then lying down (the trainer has two lockable positions);
• Teaching the patient breast self-examination;
• Practicing hands-on breast ultrasound skills, identifying a pathological lesion and determining its size.
