Camera Position Holder

A component of the E.N.D.O. laparoscopic skills trainer.

The holder can be used with a training camera or a 10 mm scope.

When locked in position, it allows working without an assistant.

The holder consists of 4 elements (a slotted sphere for securing the scope, the right and left halves of the holder body, and a clamping screw).

It mounts into a dedicated slot in the trainer body.

Skills trained:

• Spatial orientation using a monitor;
• Hand-eye coordination;
• Precision and accuracy of movements;
• Camera navigation;
• Assistant duties. Correct video visualization of the operative field;
• Keeping the horizon level while operating the camera;
• Laparoscopic instrument handling technique;
• Independently performing various types of surgical procedures.
