DENT.PRO
DENT.PRO is more than manual skills and cavity preparation, and more than the objective assessment of a single skill. It is a multi-task AR simulator that assesses clinical competencies in a realistic environment with accurate 3D visualization.
Key features
- Comfortable for both left- and right-handed practitioners
- Two mouth-opening positions, like a real patient
- 180° head rotation
- Unique 6 DOF tracking system with high accuracy
- Outstanding real-time 3D visualization
- Modern, ergonomic design
Real-time 3D visualization
AR lets the trainee see handpiece positioning in real time, with feedback rendered in 3D much like a digital scan. The virtual tooth deforms according to the real bur shape, and every session is recorded for objective, digital evaluation.
Realistic environment
A typodont with interchangeable teeth and a real handpiece — without bulky trackers — feel just like the clinic. Calibration is simple, and preclinical training is fully repeatable and reversible.
Eight-step training workflow
- Administration — log in and choose a case from 60+ across five dental specialties.
- Briefing — patient complaints, medical history and related images.
- History taking — build clinical reasoning from a wide question library.
- X-ray — practise correct positioning; unlimited harmless X-ray images saved to a library.
- Anesthesia — train periodontal, nerve-block and infiltration techniques with on-syringe red/yellow/green feedback.
- Preparation — microsensors tracked in full 6 DOF up to 240 Hz for operative and prosthetic cases.
- Formative assessment — slice-mode review of preparation shape, distances and angles with educational hints.
- Debriefing — synchronized video capture, a 3D player and summative report generation.
Configurations
- Bench-type — mounted on a table
- Standalone — a self-contained unit
Objective assessment and instructor review
During preparation, learners can review the tooth in slice mode, measure distances and angles, and compare their work with educational guidance. The system records the training process and generates an objective report for formative or summative assessment.
Synchronized camera video and the 3D player allow instructors to review ergonomics, posture, instrument selection, history-taking responses, X-ray images and preparation geometry during debriefing.
Integrated dental curriculum
More than 60 cases across five dental specialties combine a physical typodont and real handpiece with real-time 3D visualization. Activities can include history taking, radiography, local anesthesia, operative and prosthetic preparation, feedback and debriefing.
