Head and neck lymph node palpation trainer

This trainer is a simulation of the human head and neck for developing palpation skills in lymph node examination.

The trainer allows examination of the occipital, submandibular, and parotid lymph nodes by means of special inserts.

The model anatomically accurately simulates the skull and neck, into which two types of simulated lymph nodes are installed as desired.

Skills trained:

• Identifying anatomical landmarks;
• Locating lymph nodes in the corresponding region;
• Refining perception, developing tactile sensitivity of the fingers and spatial sense;
• Examination and palpation of the regional lymph nodes of the head and neck in a defined sequence:
• occipital lymph nodes;
• postauricular lymph nodes;
• parotid lymph nodes;
• submandibular lymph nodes;
• cervical lymph nodes;
• Mastering palpation technique: performed with the tips of slightly bent fingers using light, gliding movements, "rolling" over the lymph nodes;
• Assessing lymph node characteristics: location, size, shape, consistency, number, tenderness, mobility, and adherence of the lymph nodes to one another and to the surrounding tissues;
