The training pad is designed for teaching and practicing correct administration of subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections. The trainer is a pad that is secured to the chosen part of the body with hook-and-loop straps.

The model is made of a material that visually and palpably simulates human skin, subcutaneous fat tissue, and the muscle layer. The pad's durable base, firmly secured to the chosen part of the body with hook-and-loop straps, prevents the needle from penetrating beyond it.

During intradermal injection of fluid, a realistic wheal forms, and after training the simulated skin is easily cleaned by squeezing out the injected fluid. The procedure can then be repeated immediately, and the skin-simulating insert retains no needle marks.
