The LAPARO MINI trainer for general surgical skills is a collapsible box that allows users to refine their skills in open and laparoscopic surgery, while its compactness, portability, and small size make independent practice possible right from home.

The trainer has two practice sections: a surgical knot-tying zone and a confined-space working zone.

Skills trained:

• Recommended for use with non-organic (silicone) training platforms;
• Developing spatial orientation skills within the operative field;
• Laparoscopic instrument handling technique;
• Moving various objects in space with instruments;
• Two-handed work with laparoscopic instruments;
• Positioning the needle in the needle holder;
• Manipulating the needle in tissue;
• Placing intracorporeal sutures;
• Stitching and tying surgical knots by hand and with instruments;
• Placing interrupted and continuous sutures along both convenient and difficult trajectories;
• The realistic tissue model is an elastic pad that simulates biological tissue.
