Simulated Vessel Set

A set of simulated vessels for practicing general surgery and vascular surgery skills, containing 5 pieces. Outer diameter — 1 mm, wall thickness — 0.2 mm, vessel length — 20 cm.

Skills trained:

• Working with microsurgical instruments;
• Simulating vessel injuries and repeatedly practicing the surgical interventions used to repair them;
• Can be connected to a blood flow simulation system;
• Ligation of the vessel at a distance;
• Incision of the vessel wall;
• Practicing standard vascular suture techniques (classic Carrel circular suture; lateral arterial suture) on simulated small-caliber vessels (1 mm);
• Creating watertight end-to-end and end-to-side vascular anastomoses;
• Observing the requirements for a vascular suture:
• the vessels being sutured must be approximated using the natural elasticity and stretch of their walls; overstretching is unacceptable;
• along the suture line, the vessels must meet with like layers in contact;
• the vascular suture must not alter the vessel lumen or deform the vessel;
• the suture must be watertight.
